If my best friend loves me, why is he dumping me?

Shyann Answers:

Dear Lost In Love,

You Want What You Can't Have

JR

I agree that you want what you can't have. My ex still wants me.

Let me begin by saying that sometimes when we care for someone and we don't think that we could ever possibly have them, we feel stronger emotions for them because we don't want to give up without a fight.

Those feelings, when actually granted a relationship, sometimes aren't really the true feelings in our heart. Basically, the thought that we WANT something so bad can bring out powerful emotions that aren't completely real.

Don't Keep Feelings Inside

Starting off with Hector, I think he cared for you, but the flame might have burnt to a flicker over the years of you not telling him your true feelings. That was your problem. Just let that be a lesson to you.

Bailey

I disagree. One of her mistakes was saying "I love you" too soon.

Don't keep feelings inside if you care for someone so deeply. Especially if you have a chance with them. Please!!! Love is an emotion you should never fear. I promise.

He Truly Loved Erin

Now, I think when he moved on to Erin he probably was getting over you. She probably filled the void in his life after a while. So when you came back into his life and they broke up, he might have realized later that he truly loved her and made a mistake. After all, you made one too.

He Feared Losing Erin

So, he might be upset by the fact that by you telling everyone about ya'lls togetherness, and him still having feelings for his new, well, old/new relationship with Erin, made him worried. He could fear that by doing so, he might lose Erin for good and you somewhere down the line too. After all, you and him have drawn apart many times before.

You should definitely talk to him. Write him a letter, don't try to call, let him call you. Speaking can cause arguments, especially after what went on.

Just Be Friends

Just tell him how you feel, and be prepared to just be friends. Because friendship is the greatest love of all.

Shaggy

Of course she shouldn't blame him. He's just giving her a taste of her own medicine.

Don't push a lot of blame on him. Don't use words like "you" in a finger-pointing way. Just find out how he feels right now. It may hurt, but the love may just be a friendship kind of love. Don't feel bad, just be happy to have such a devotional friend in someone. Thats something you'll never want to give up.

~God Bless~
