The age of consent in Texas is 17. So, for you to have a any sort
of sexual relationship with this girl is illegal.
Even if the law was not in place, the mental and emotional difference
between you two is too great. She is still a child while you are
an adult.
Forget Her
Although I understand that your feelings for her have grown and
it will be hard for you to forget her, you must. As her actions
have shown, she is not prepared for a mature relationship.
It's Easy To Lie
She has lied to you continuously and did not have the courage
to tell you her real age. Now, she is putting you in an uncomfortable
situation by threatening to run away and threatening her own life.
These types of threats have little to do with love and point more
towards her intense infatuation with you. There is a good chance
that this was her first foray into the world of relationships and
love. For a girl of such a young age, there is a great chance of
heartache from this type of situation.
Take Her Threats Seriously
You must take her suicide threats seriously even though they may
be exaggerated.
After you tell her that you can't see each other anymore, call
her parents, tell them what happened and urge them to talk to her
about this and take her to a counselor. Also tell them that you
are not going to contact their daughter any more and you are worried
that this may intensify her possibly fragile emotional state.
Don't Stay in Touch
Even though you may be tempted to stay in touch with her "as
friends," this would be unhealthy for both you and she. Make
a clean break.
If you have any doubts about whether or not this is the right
course of action, imagine yourself at 12 years old and think how
much you have changed, matured and grown in the 10+ years since
then.
