Dear Panel,
I really don't know if I am in a real
relationship.
A guy from high school really liked me
and I thought he was nice, but I never went out with
him. He's smart, has a nice build and treats me with
respect. When I went to college we ended up going out
and after the first date ended he hugged me and then
kissed me very passionately. From then on, every date
ended with some kind of physical intimacy other than
sex.
He Talks About Marriage
I know he really cares for me. We used
to go out on dates, but now all he does is want to take
me to a secluded place so we can make out. He talks
about marriage and when we have a family how it will
be, but I am confused and don't know how to just tell
him that either we will spend quality time together
or not be in each other's lives.
We Have Different Morals
He is a good person, but I think our morals
are different. I'm a quiet, religious person and he's
the party type. Should I try to work things out and
accept that we are different people? Should I believe
that he really want to be with me even though the signs
point to sex. Every date get closer to sex.
He Sees Me As a Goal
I think that he sees me as a goal sometimes,
but he does let me know how much he cares about me and
I don't doubt that he wants to be with me, but I'm just
confused.
Please help.
