Sigh Responds:
I am the person that wrote the question and I would like
to reply to what Saibhin has said.
We Have a Shared Computer
I found out that my boyfriend was viewing this porn quite
by accident. We have a shared computer and it wasn't exactly
"hidden". I haven't lost his trust.
We Discussed The Issue
Secondly, since posting the question, my boyfriend and
I have discussed this subject further. He openly shared
his "porn files" (I had only seen the titles to
them) with me and assured me that, often, they do not contain
literal images of their titles.
He Opened Up
Also, he took me to the web site that he often downloads
the movie bits from (Morpheus) and showed me how you can
put in a request for something and get totally different
(and sometimes undesired) results.
For example, someone looking for pictures or movies involving
Britney Spears, might download all records that "match"
their inquiry only to find out that child porn or "illegal"
porn has been included.
There are online articles about this problem with Morpheus.
Apparently, when he would download a group of files or movies,
he would save the ones that he wanted and delete the "weird"
ones that pertained nothing to his original search.
I Feel Much Better
I feel much, much better about everything after talking
it through with my boyfriend. His openness and willingness
to communicate and share really helped.
It really isn't about my being insecure in any sense as
much as it was my need or desire to understand.
