Dear Bob,

Bob, Bob, Bob. What a mess. Please learn a lesson from this and next time you become obsessed & jealous - be strait! That's what being in a serious relationship is all about. Talking things out. Clarifying miscommunications.

Flirting Is Just Part Of Her Online Identity

Here's my advice. It's going to be tough but the relationship depends on it. Stop snooping! Your girlfriend probably doesn't think anything of this guy or her flirting. The "tongue & cheek" sexual references are part of her identity online.

Since you are obviously uncomfortable with her behavior, you have three choices.

  1. Try and live with it.
  2. Leave her.
  3. Come clean.

JavaTell Her What You Did

I disagree. Telling her will only create more problems.

Tell your girlfriend that you were jealous and did something really stupid. Share with her what happened. Then apologize. Finally, tell her it made your jealousy even worse because you read her flirty comments. Bob, it's then in her court.

If you truly want a long-term relationship, learn to be honest. Snooping through someone's dirty mail isn't going to work - we all have dirt if you search deep enough...right Bob?

Hope it works out.
