Dear Mae,
It sounds to me like you have a very insecure and obsessed guy
on your hands.
You have done the right thing by blocking all his e-mails and taking
him off of your messenger list. That was a very wise first step.
Depending on which e-mail service that you use, I know that many
of them now days have a service that lets you inform them of
disturbing or unwanted e-mail, and they will take care of the problem
for you, however, since he appears to be using other peoples e-mail
addresses as well, it may not take care of the problem completely.
Reply To His Next Email With A Threat of Reporting Him
I think that the best thing for you to do would be to reply to
the next e-mail he sends you telling him flat out that you are going
to report him to the cops if he sends you one more degrading message.
You may also be able to talk to your internet service provider about
getting rid of messages from this guy.
Change
Your Email Address And Screen Name
May I also suggest that you change your e-mail address and any
screennames you may have for your messenger.
If you do this, be sure to tell only the people you trust of your
new address and screennames. I would suggest that you tell them
over the phone or in person to prevent it from leaking out to this
guy.
I think that if you make these changes and give the guy a firm
warning that you will report him if he doesn't stop, your problem
should stop. The warning alone should scare him enough to where
he will stop, and after you make some changes to your e-mail and
messenger, he should'nt be able to find you, even if he tried.
Only Give Your Address To Trustworthy Friends
I highly suggest that you be careful of who you talk to and don't
give your e-mail address to anyone other than close and trustworthy
friends and family.
I hope that after taking these steps into consideration, that your
problems will diminish and you will be able to enjoy the internet
to it's fullest.
