| Hello Jen,
This seems like one pickle of a situation with all the moving and
what not. How long have you two been seeing each other?
I know that for the first months or so and even a few years, two
people can love each other more then anything else in the world.
Believe me, I have been through it.
Before you think about spending the rest of your life together,
think about how is everything right now? What would happen if we
waited? Many things can happen in a long term relationship.
You Shouldn't Be Talking About Getting Engaged
Being engaged is an option but probably not the best. Even though
its going to be hard, time apart is probably the best thing for
you two. Making this plan to live together may not work.
When you are apart, you will be testing each other, about how much
you love the other and how much the other loves you. This could
either strengthen the bond between you and your partner or it can
just be bad.
If He Proposes, Say "No"
So what should you do? If he does propose to you now, I would decline.
Not because you don't love him anymore or anything like that. It's
just that an agreement like that could hurt both of you.
He may be your life now, but what happens after your senior year
depends on you. Money is going to be a issue and what about family?
Those are the things you have to think of before you agree to anything.
Always,
|
