Dear What's Inside,
You already know what to do. You know that YOU are interested in
this guy, whether or not your friends are! You "click",
have chemistry, and have remained interested for four months. Those
are all good signs that you should give dating him a chance.
Tell Your Friends Why You Like Him
It won't be hard to tell your friends exactly that; that your interest
hasn't faded in the four months since you met him and you are excited
to get to know him better.
Rather than worrying about defending his flaws, you have the great
opportunity to talk to your friends about what draws you to him!
If They Don't Back Off, Ask Why They're So Controlling
If they don't back off after all of that, they seem rather committed
to making your decisions for you - and that is a whole other problem
(like, why ARE they so controlling?!?!)
Go out, enjoy yourself, and see where things lead.
