Dear Confused,
Gee, how does anyone ever know what is best in a relationship?
I guess you
both try to do your best by each other. How's that?
It looks like your families and older friends, and probably even
most of the panelists at Love & Learn have lots more experience
than you. So we all can tell you how things aren't going to work
out, how it's wrong for you, yadda yadda yadda.
But you know what? This isn't a bad situation for you both. You're
both are at great times in your lives, where there are many new
experiences and friends and stuff.
Learn About Loyalty
One of the things which is important for you is to know AND experience
loyalty to your friends and relationships.
There's nothing wrong with trying to keep your relationship, and
seeing what happens. Then you can learn how to make future relationships
work, the obstacles that may occur, and how hard breakups are. Or
even keep your high school sweetheart for your very own.
Have a good time, keep your eyes open, try to make your own decisions
and way through life, and whoa, maybe you'll be able to tell your
friends and family a few things. Or let them know they were right.
