Dear Panel,
My fiancé just left me
after a year and a half and I am nine months pregnant.
How do I get him back?
Female, age 18, USA
|
|
|
You could try a paternity suit, or maybe a gun, but why bother
with the bum?
|
|
|
Don't. Who wants a guy who would leave you now?
|
|
|
I would think that making him pay child support would be much
better than actually getting him back.

Dear
Panel,
Do
you think that a soulmate is someone who has the same
interests as yours?
Let's
just say I am a go-getter and the other person is just
satisfied with getting by.
Do
you think these two people are soulmates?
-
SS
|
|
|
Depends.
If your goal as a go-getter is to get someone who's laid
back, he IS your soulmate. |
|

|
SOULMATES
have nothing to do with what you have in common, but how
you feel about each other.

Dear
Panel,
My
boyfriend is either at work or at school till 6 o'clock
everyday and we don't get to see each other that often.
I think that he should try to spend the time he has free
with me but he often breaks plans with me to go out and
party with his friends.
I don't want him to dump his friends, but how should I
let him know that our relationship is suffering and that
we need some more time together?

Hmmm... that's
a unique and tricky situation... NOT.
How about you
say: "I don't want you to dump your friends but our
relationship is suffering and I think that we need some
more time together"?
|
|
|
Tell him that
your relationship is suffering and you need to spend more
time together.

Dear
Panel,
The
relationship that I am currently in has had its ups and
downs, but right now I'm not sure if we will be able to
overcome this one.
Today
my boyfriend told me he has a huge crush on my sister;
this really upset me when he told me this because most
of the guys that I have had relationships with have eventually
hurt me in one way or another (not just dating relationships)
and I never for a minute thought that he would be one
of them. I don't even know if it's worth even talking
to him further about it.
He told me that he really doesn't want this to hurt our
relationship, but he understands if I want to break it
off with him.
What
I really need is an opinion on if you think it's worth
going through with the relationship and some advice on
how to deal with this.

This guy wants
to break up with you.
He just wants
you to do the dirty work.
Oblige him.

Dear
Panel,
How
do you know if a woman likes you?
I have been out of the dating game for awhile.
-

We use the
same signals we did when you were in the dating
game, with the addition of e-mail.
|
|
|
Same as the
old days: eye batting, subtle touching, flattery, extra
smiles, little hints, etc...
Just keep your
eyes open; if you do that you'll know when someone is
interested!

Dear Panel,
5 months ago my boyfriend
broke up with me. Or rather let me hear the bad news from
some mutual friends. I wasn't too upset at the time but
later on it really start to hurt.
My ex tried to be friends
with me but I just ignored him. A few months later he
sent a note saying that he wanted to be friends but I
should go out with this other guy. He also sent a tape
of songs. Some were pretty much platonic but others were
more romantic like "I'll never let you go" and
" I need you".
Months have passed and
I still haven't responded because I can't decide whether
I want to get back together or never speak to him again.
Please help me!

Confused? No wonder.
If you could read even more into nothing, you might
find the answer.
He never asked you to get back together. Find a new guy
to overanalyze.

If you start laughing while drinking milk and it comes
out your nose and he doesn't laugh, then it's TOO serious.

Dear Panel,
I'm 14 and I like this
19 year old. He is a friend of my sister and brother and
I really like him. We met a few weeks ago and then again
last week. We were going to "a place" for the
Volleyball Nationals. He was a coach and I was a player.
Anyway we talked a bit
there and on the way back home (an 8 hr bus ride) we shared
a seat and pillow, and we ended up cuddled up together
(really closely). Though we didn't do anything, it felt
really good.
I really like him but
he has a girlfriend. And I don't know if he likes me because
I'm heaps younger then him.
Do you think I am stupid
and should just forget it? But I can't stop thinking about
him. What do you think I should do?
Female, age 14, Australia
|
|

|
Take the bus more.
|
|
|
Try
a cold shower. Then try going after guys who won't get arrested
if they go out with you. You are jailbait to a man over
18.
