Dear Panel,

Okay, I know I will be condemmed for this, but is it possible to get a married man to fall in love with you even if he is possibly happily married?

- Irene

Female, age 34, USA

Linda

Yes. But it's much simpler and quicker to work on someone who's available and already interested in you.

Charlie

Just because it is possible, should you do it?

You could also jump out of a plane without a parachute. In fact, that stunt is probably safer and healthier.

Dear Panel,

Me and my boyfriend have been together for only 2 months.

It's one of those relationships where two months seems like forever! At first it was goin' great! He has lots of "female" friends and I was alright with it cuz it was all innocent and I'm the same way with my guy friends, nothin' to worry 'bout

But then he'd start to just leave me standing there when we were at dances to go hug his other girl friends, and he'd do stuff like that now and then and it'd really make me mad! Sometimes when when I'm tryin' to talk a real coversation with him, he just acts like a smart ass and seems like he has no interest in what I say. When I told him what I thought he said, he had no idea that he did that and apologized!

But it just seems like our relationship is goin' nowhere! There's no tingles! But there's something about him that I'm really attached to and I don't want to lose him!

Any suggestions on what to do to save this relationship, or should I even try to save it?

- Getting Nowhere

Female, age 16, USA

Jayne
There can't be tingles all the time. Its not like the movies.
Danni

No tingles, move on!

Linda

Let's see... he's an insensitive jerk who is trying to make you jealous. You can't talk to him. There's nothing worth saving. Next!

Dear Panel,

I am .. 5'10.

if she grabs my hand and holds it does that mean she likes me?

Male

Linda

Depends. Are you walking over rocks or something slippery, or near a cliff? If not, she likes you.

Lefty

Does she break any fingers?

Jayne
You're 5' 10. I dont know why that matters, but I'll just say "Yes" to make you feel good.
Destiny
Most times, yes. Especially if she squeezes it.

Dear Panel,

My boyfriend's parents had a really, really bad divorce when he was little. It really makes it hard for him to express his emotions.

But it is hard for me, too – we are having a baby in about 2 weeks and he still cannot tell me he loves me. He says he feels it, but can not express it. It is soooo hard for him to make commitments, also.

What should I do aout this?

- Very Confused

Female, age 18, USA

I was in love with this boy for 2 years, until I realised that he didn't have feelings for me at all, and we became really close friends.

But recently, when we both had a bit to drink, we kissed (and things). Thats happened twice now and when he's around me he flirts with me.

I think my feelings for him are coming back, what shall i do?

Dear Panel,

Me and my girlfriend have been going out for 4 months. We're both virgins and we're always together and I love her very much. She's 15 and i'm 17.

Well, on the day of our 1st aniversary, we were making out and she told me that she wanted to have sex and I asked her many times to make sure because she had wanted to save it for when she got married.

We tried having sex but it hurt her so we stopped. Her cherry didn't pop.

Now she regrets what she did and wants to wait till she gets married! I feel very bad and I think that she doesn't love me anymore. What can be wrong? Why the sudden change of mind? I haven't really discussed it with her because I don't want her to think i'm a dickhead.

What should i do ?

- Confused 72442

Male, age 17, Miami

Lefty

Either stop dating virgins or stop being a dickhead.

Linda

Reality check: this is not all about you. She's ONLY 15. She tried sex, it hurt her, she got scared, and realized that her first instinct, to not have sex, was the right one. There's no "you" in there. She still loves you.

But if you want to discuss it, go ahead. Girls love communication.

Buddy

2 choices:

A) Wait to marry her and try again.
B) Talk to her and fix the guilt.

Dear Panel,

My wife of 22 yrs says she doesn't love me anymore and that she wants a divorce.

She has left me with my 4 kids and is staying with her mom.

I need to know if there is a chance of her learning to love me again and if so I need ideas to use to bring that about!

Please help me!

I wouldn't bother...find someone else to love!

Jayne

I rarely say this but, Dude just give up...wait, I'm lying...I do say that
a lot.

Linda

Can you say "mid-life crisis"? She married young, had lots of kids, never felt what it was like to be on her own... she wants a taste of freedom before she's too old to enjoy it.

Ask for a separation, not a divorce, and let her roam free for awhile. Unless you're a jerk, she'll probably miss the family and come home eventually.

Dear Panel,

How can i learn to stop basing my feelings on my boyfrind's reactions?

It's the classic case of trying to please your own parents...then you get out in the world and you learn to do things to make yourself happy first.

Well, now i am a year plus into a relationship and if i try to do something to make him happy and he doesn't respond the way i think he should...i am crushed.

It ruins my whole day.

Dear Panel,

In the beginning of the new school year my class got a new teacher for Latin. He's young, about 25. That is much younger then my average teachers.

At first I didn't really like the teacher. But after a few months I started really to like him. Since then I can't stop thinking about him.

He's my favourite teacher. I'm afraid to ask him what he thinks of me. I've also started to get very weird dreams about him. I don't know what to do!!!!!!!!

Next year I will probably never see him again. Because of him my grades have gotten better. Even my friends tell tell that I start blushing everytime I have to answer a question.

What should I do?

- Candy

Female, age 15, Europe

Linda Keep up the good work!
Danni Two words for you: Jail bait!!!
I think its just a silly little crush!!! 3 words for you: 10 YEARS OLDER!!!! 3 more: HE'S YOUR TEACHER!!! Enough said!
Jayne

Dear Panel,

What are the stats on an older woman 34, younger man 24 relationship success rates?

- Mario

Female, age 34, USA

Jayne

48% of the older women say they were influenced by "How Stella Got Her Groove Back."

33% of the younger men say they were just looking for a hot babe as
close to menopause as possible.

I don't know what this has to do with your question, but godspeed.

Charlie

From my perspective: 100%

n=2 (that I know of)

Lefty

I thought that women that age wanted to base relationships on love rather than statistics.

Dear Panel,

I have been with my boyfriend for 3 happy months. He has been great to me within that time, and we spend a lot of time together.

Around a month ago he lost his job. Within the last while he has become more distant, and I have become desperate and clingy. I used to be strong, but now all I think about is him.

Last weekend he started to become even more distant, and told me that he needed his space to think things out with his life, and his job.

I left a message on his phone 3 days ago saying that I respect his need for space, and I will always be here for him. I even phoned him that night to see if had received my message and to hope that his day was a little less stressfull.

I have not heard from him since. I'm freaking out.

Will he call? Should I move on? should I phone him again? Does he want to break up with me?

- Candygirl

Female, age 24, Canada

Lefty

He's going through a hard time, but it doesn't sound like he needs your help.

Linda

My boyfriend and I are very much in love, and recently he turned himself into jail to take care of some past problems he had so we can get that out of the way and start a good life together.

I just want to know what is the best way to stay positive while we are going through this rough time?
