Reader Response to Snappy Answers

...there is no such thing as a one month "anni"versary. Don't you guys know your Latin prefixes?

Reader Mabarosi Responds:

One Month Is No Big Deal

Maybe I've become cynical or something, but personally I don't believe one month 'anniversaries' are a big deal. (And yes Jayne, you're right, the word DOES refer to year, and I have no idea why people don't realise this.)

It'll End Soon Anyway

You're 15 years old. Boyfriend-girlfriend relationships at this age (like I've said before) are not usually that big a deal - yes, they seem that way at the time, but they aren't like marriages, are they. A lot of relationships at this age end after a few weeks or months or so anyways.

Your boyfriend may feel a bit scared if you celebrate your being together for a month - 15 year old boys don't usually acknowledge these things. Guys acknowledge birthdays, holidays, and REAL anniversaries - or at least, they should.

By personal experiance, if you want to mention it or anything, just say, "Wow, do you realise that we've been together for about a month now?"

Take care.
