I'm not sure if premarital sex IS a sin.
|
This really is a clearer topic than has been described.
"Sin" Is a Biblical Term
- "Sin" is strictly a biblical term. There is no secular
version of it. It is just missing the point to make Biblical arguments
without using the Bible. Sin is not about right or wrong, it is
about Sin.
- If you do not believe in the Bible, then you need not worry
about "Sin" (at least you don't think you have to worry).
- Assuming you believe in the Bible, sins are described as falling
short of God's demands. There is no interpretation or thinking
to it. Yes, pre-marital sex is a sin. You don't ask people if
something is a sin. No one down here is an authority on it. We
would redirect you to the original document.
- We all are sinners. Every pastor you've ever met is a sinner
as well. Pope included. It's in our nature.
- Christians are forgiven of their sins. Everyone else has yet
to ask for forgiveness. (We would encourage everyone to ask for
it. Doesn't cost anything.)
Looking for Validation
You are trying to get people to validate you. Being brought up
in a Christian home, you know that they won't be around when you
have to account for your actions. You know what sins are; don't
try to find comfort in "everybody says it's OK".
If anyone finds discomfort in this argument, it's not our argument.
We didn't write the book; we just read it but we'll be happy
to discuss it further.
