Dear Panel,

I have some problems in my horoscope. I should marry a girl with the same problems, according to an astrologer.

Even if I find it is matching, how would I know about the girl's behaviour and past?

– Horroscope

Saibhin

Buy a Magic 8-Ball.

Lefty

Anyone who believes that some distant objects millions of light years away affects their everyday lives probably should also consult their therapist about what girl to look for.

Dear Panel,

With regards to the question on dating your stepsister: What if you are much older and your separate parents are no longer together?

Is it wrong to start dating?

As adults can we make that choice?

– Wondering

Male, age 32, North America

Lefty

Aren't there any women out there you can date who aren't your step sister?

Jeannie

To me, putting the two words "dating" and "sister" in the same sentence is simply a bad idea.

Charlie

Well, if you're asking permission, I'd say, "Did you clean your room first?"

Dear Panel,

I have been dating my boyfriend for one year. When I met him, he just cancelled his wedding. 16 months later, we've kicked around the idea of getting married.

I told him that whatever he'd promised his ex-fiancée, I deserve better. If she had a 1 ct. ring, I want 1.5 ct. If she wanted a church wedding, I want a wedding in a cathedral. Is that wrong? I'm thinking this is the only way I would know if he really loves me, more than anyone in his life.

My reasoning is, you don't just get engaged to anyone. She must have been special. And if I am in fact the best woman for him, his true love, then shouldn't I get more? He mentioned getting married in Las Vegas.

Now keep in mind, this is the only thing I am asking for... a bigger ring, a better wedding. If I didn't think he could afford to, I would have never had these demands. As it is, I am debt-free, a non-smoker, non-drinker, have a degree and earn a a very, very good income. I have never been married, do not have kids and am 27 years old. I've never been engaged and have longed dreamed of my special wedding day.

Is it wrong to expect these things? BTW, he is upset and thinks that diamonds do not prove anything.

Please let me know if I owe him an apolopgy.

– Susan

Female, age 27, Santa Monica, CA

Lefty

He is wrong. Diamonds prove how materialistic someone can be.

Linda

You are so warped. Diamonds and the size of the wedding don't prove a thing. All you're proving is that you have no idea what love and commitment are all about. He's a fool if he marries you. You will make his life a living hell.

Luthien

He's right. You are just being greedy and jealous.

Dear Panel,

I have recently split up with my bird (due to distance issues) but I still have feelings for her and text her regularly.

I feel that she is only replying to my texts and not contacting me of her own accord.

Is she not interested, or just trying to avoid getting hurt?

– Fred Is Blue

Male, age 24, England

Linda

Hard to tell what her motivations are. The bigger question is, what are yours? You broke up with her, but you're still reaching out to her. You have feelings for her... but... Maybe you should stop writing her for a moment, and think about what you really want, and then convey that to her.

Lefty

Dear Panel,

I've been going out with this guy for a year now and we were planning on getting married after college, but I'm still unsure about our relationship because he used to cheat on his past relationships, and lately he's been really grumpy at me.

Is it a sign he doesn't want me around anymore?

– Chay

Female, age 25, USA

Lefty

Do you want to be around a guy who's grumpy a lot for no reason?

Linda

Nah. It could be gas, or his favorite sports team is in a slump.

Mr. Sensitive!

I love this website, the pictures are so cute and everything in here is easy to find.

Can I ask you a question?

I am dated this guy for three months now. He cheated on me before and so have I, we both have our lesson learned. We are still together and very much in love.

What my question is that, does it matter that he is always being cheap? I mean, in front of his friends? I am so embarassed everytime his cheapness appears. If I love him, It shouldn't matter right? But if he loves me, don't you think that he should sometimes get me some sort of expensive stuff too?

He should know, because all his brand names is Bannana Republic. Why he dresses himself up only and not care about me?

Tell me what you think, please.

Sincerely,

– Ktran

Female

Linda

It only matters if it bothers you. You just have to figure out what your tolerance level is. And, hey – if you've tolerated cheating, cheapness might not be that big a deal.

Sassy

He's stuck on himself; HIS needs always come first. Move on!!

Lefty

Coming from someone who probably makes your squeeze look extravagant, I know the few times I've tried to buy a girlfriend a nice present, it was always the wrong brand. And yes, my friends know I'm cheap; I think it's one of my endearing qualities.

Dear Panel,

Why is it so easy to fall out of love?

– no signature

Female, age 16, USA

Lefty

Because you're 16.

KP

Because what we often mistake for true love is merely just infatuation.

Hallie

It takes a lot of things to make you fall in love, but it only takes one to fall out.

Dear Panel,

I'm confused as to why my wife doesn't like oral sex performed on her. We talk about it, she even tries to 'walk' me through it, and she says 'Sorry, I just don't like it.'

I love it though, and this is why I'm writing. Any suggestions?
