A Reader Responds:
C'mon, this question is legitimate and deserves a legitimate
answer.
I think the answer lies partially in the question, "If
you're in a relationship with a woman whom you love and
who totally adores you, and you're still in love with your
ex-girlfriend from six years ago?"
If you love the one your with, but you're "in love"
with someone else, you obviously have unresolved business
with this woman from your past.
Tell Your Partner and Your Ex
First, communicate these feeling to your current partner.
And if you deem it necessary, then communicate these feeling
to your lingering love.
In terms of love, I PERSONALLY have found it is better
to regret something you did that something you never did
(mean and illegal things tossed aside, of course).
If you don't communicate these feelings, you could begin
to resent your current partner because of the past relationship.
Don't let this happen answer your questions and only
then can you start a new paragraph in your life and find
a satisfactory way to move on.
